TO MANAGE EMOTIONS

THE IMPORTANCE
OF FEELING GOOD
Managing our emotional side is basic to doing well in life and work.
Emotions are a basic energy that helps you to know yourself,
to know what situation you are in and what you interpret
about yourself, others or the environment.
THE NEED

Psychological harm is even more common than physical injuries, such as failure, rejection or loneliness; this can get worse and dramatically  affect our lives if overlooked.

And while there are scientifically proven techniques that we could use to treat these types of psychological harm, we in fact do not. We do not even contemplate the need.

THE CHALLENGE

Because of the speed and pressure we are under to achieve all that is required of us we tend to suffer from a number of commonplace emotions: loneliness, fear of failure, low self-esteem, rumination and an uncontrolled mind. These are the great evils of the 21st century that beset us especially in large cities.

Given this internal problem we face every day, I considered it necessary to find an answer to a daily need: emotional management.

The challenge team of one begins.

DESIGN THINKING

Design Thinking is a user-based approach to innovation that draws from a designer’s toolkit to integrate people’s needs, the potential of technology and requirements for business success. It is the methodology used in to develop this project. It provides tools to respond to problems, creatively and innovatively.

THE SOLUTION

The solution is Emoh Stories, an app aimed at learning how to recognize emotions in oneself and in others.

An Instagram-inspired social network where you can:

  • Learn to know yourself in order to understand others. Step-by-step learning to distinguish the situations that alter people during the day and which attitudes to correct in order to face daily tasks with greater control, improving decision-making capacity.
  • Listen to the advice of renowned psychologists to learn how to identify emotions and why they are triggered. In this way, tools are obtained to, for example, change responses to failure, to uphold self-esteem, to fight against negative thinking, to heal psychological wounds, etc.

  • Visualization and relaxation exercises to get to know yourself internally for self-empowerment. The objective is to relax the mind, in order to get a clearer view of how each one feels and to be able to work on it, to gradually feel better, to attract positive thoughts and to see life from another perspective.
  • Share your favorite books, readings that have caught your attention for some reason, serving a purpose at a particular time.
  • Gradually increase inner wellbeing, benefiting both the person himself and those around him.
THE RESOULTS

The idea works!

The result of applying Design Thinking methodology is to facilitate a plan of action to ensure that both negative are positive emotions are managed, to calm the mind and face difficult decisions, unpleasant situations and the stages of a change process in a more balanced way, which will result in a fuller and happier life.
